Very Impressive....

9.3 million homes passed already with a subscriber rate of 1.5 million customers.

Now these are the kinds of numbers one would expect from a next generation service that is truly a competitive force versus the cable industry and this company is really rolling this service out at a breakneck pace.

Is is absolutely astounding to compare these results with that TOTAL DISASTER of a TELCO..AT&T's #'s for their next generation pewverse service isn't it.

That companies CEO should be ashamed..embarrassed..and flat out ran out of his office for allowing that disaster of a service to continue. I have said from the start that that company would save NOTHING in the end because it was going to do NOTHING to bring on subscribers the way a REAL fiber rollout would.

Consider the numbers folks. Pewverse's numbers at just over 200,000 customers after ALL this time..and a rollout in their own corporate backyard on top of it...

versus THESE kinds of numbers from a company that obviously stood up to their shareholders and said this is what we MUST do to survive.

AT&T's shareholders should DEMAND that the fiasco known as uverse come to an immediate end. It is the laughing stock of the technology world...and their results will drive that company and it's shareholders into bankruptcy.

It is truly hard to imagine that this companies employees are even standing by and allowing this disaster to continue anymore. Faithful as they are..they have posted on here continually trying to defend this outrageous decision by management..but today they are seeing what a huge mistake it has been. AT&T is jeopardizing their futures with a mistake that can only be called one of the biggest blunders corporate america has ever seen.

The writing is on the wall and their management simply refuses to read it. What a disgrace.

Their decision to continue rolling out pewverse is akin to intel deciding that the world needs 386sx computers again.
Meanwhile, Verizon is rolling out this service at a pace like this and is leaving AT&T in the dust.

Will AT&T ever learn...before it's too late?

This is a years long process and they're going down a road they might never recover from.

What a shame for a company that really should know better.

VERIZON..Kudos to you on your product..and your success with it. It's well deserved.

AT&T...you're heading to Bankruptcy court.

It's really that simple.

The numbers match on a per inception basis for their TV service. People wouldn't call you a hack if you didn't say hack things.

The numbers MATCH? Out of all the stretches I've heard about pewverse, that one certainly ranks among the top!

Verizon and their FIOS rollout is proving what WORKS for a next generation service..while AT&T's rollout is a TOTAL DISASTER.

With just a little over 200k customers after ALL this time..compared to Verizons 1.5 Million and growing strong numbers..this shows what people WANT..and what people are LAUGHING about.

And REMEMBER..AT&T's numbers include their huge initial push right in their own corporate backyard in texas.

When exactly do you (fanboys..employees..paid pr people..att pension check receivers) (insert the one that fits)..get OFF this DEAD horse you've been trying to ride for the longest time now and start to GET WITH THE PROGRAM?

As far as anyone calling me a HACK...TRUST me..it's ONLY the ABOVE named individuals who are doing it because your CUSTOMERS and UNBIASED industry observers know the REAL deal behind this FAILURE of a service.

In FACT..I have even been contacted by AT&T employees who wholeheartedly AGREE with my position and who are stuck in the very unfortunate position of having to work for this dinosaur of a company. And that is a REAL shame because they'd LIKE to be able to support them and feel good about them..but can't.

AT&T is going to wind up BANKRUPT..OUT OF BUSINESS..FINISHED...

If they do not change..and soon.

This company can NOT survive on simply buying out other companies to try to survive. Meanwhile..they lose landlines faster than AOL lost dialup customers and roll out this kind of crap next generation product.

This is NOT anything that will sustain them for the future and their trying to appease their shareholders and raise dividends because they don't want to spend what it TAKES..
as VERIZON is doing..is going to finish this company off.

AT&T..the CLOCK has all but wound down.

You'd BETTER start the FIBER TO THE HOME ROLLOUT..

or there will be no more AT&T in a few years to even talk about.

REMEMBER AOL.

One year after verizon left it test market in keller texas, they had around 215k subs. A year after ATT left its test market in San Antonio, they have 230k subs. So it appears they are managing similar amounts of demand for their services. And if ATT manges to hit 40,000 installs a week by the end of 2008, they will adding new subs much quicker than verizon.

So if u-verse is diaster now, that can only mean fios was a disaster as well.

I think the numbers speak for themselves. Fios is a failure, at least by your standards anyway.
