Verizon (aside from Verizon Wireless) is quickly becoming the "warm and fuzzy" company all the geeks love.
Fast, cheap bandwidth, and a hands-off policy.
If Verizon can do it and please investors, why can't AT&T? |

| Probably something far more mundane, such as the **AA's promising The Deathstar very favorable rates and conditions for UVerse.
But yeah, there is a wide swath of people out there who want control of the Internet, especially in the entertainment industry. Remember: patrons of all sectors of the entertainment industry, radio, TV, movies and music, are down. Part of that is because of the fact that people are using the internet. They want them eyeballs and earholes back, and the way to do it is to essentially grab it, by any means, fair or foul. If it means lying, cheating, stealing and barratry to get it, well...so what? |

| Not a valid argument, everyone on BBR knows that AT&T is closely aligned with Satan.
It was just fortuitous that you posted that when they're sitting a buck off their 52 week low. I'm pretty sure plenty of investors still aren't convinced that the large FIOS capex investments are the right thing to do right now. |

Verizon still looks better. |

| Whoever said they were? And what company doesn't need to be kept in check? Of all of the complaints you could make about them, you choose the biggest non-issue there is. One fee, one time, that was never even implemented, is not a history. A history of bad support? Yes. A history of turning thing over to the government? Yes. But a history of hidden fees? That's a stretch and a half and you still come up short. |

Well, when it comes to the war on terror, not "playing" means civilization as we know it ends. No choice. Our survival, keep em on the run, or we fall. Don't like it either, but I like the alternative even less. |
