@irvingisd.net | reply to Cerrihios yeah my download speed in TEXAS is a little bit faster than the 5mb(around 5.2mb) and the upload speed is slower than 2mb(like 1.8mb)i think its like that everywhere if you sign up for the 5/2 |

| reply to Cerrihios I'm from Huntington Beach, CA and my speed been rock solid with no downtime. I have the 15/2 package and dl is pretty consistent with no speed fluctuation and for ul....it has been around the 1800kbps range....which is around 250kbs....very happy if you ask me. |

I've tested about 5 fios connections in my area. Someone mentioned in another thread that TCP overhead is the real reason for the slightly slower upload speed, the download is over-provisioned and the upload speed is exactly provisioned and the overhead is only noticable for the upload. |

@verizon.net | reply to Cerrihios I'm still waiting for FIOS in west Cerritos (Studebaker & 166th). I will drop Wave like the overpriced bad habit that they are!

| reply to Cerrihios I got the 15/15 plan. Everything is fine and speeds are great as advertised, just slightly lower as is the usual case.
The install went perfect, and the tech was very knowledgeable and friendly.
The billing department was a headache though and I ended up having to call them almost daily for 4 days until they got the speed package right.
Completely satisfied! I do not have the TV service however. |

| reply to Cerrihios I am in Lakewood near South and Bellflower and keep getting Verizon telling me that they don't know when it will be here. I see from the map that it is just a house by house thing and not total neighborhoods. Is there anybody out there with info on how I can get Verizon to light me up? Also, due to my wife's job I need at least one static IP. Can I get Verizon to give one or is there any way to get a static some other way? I know there are ways to fool equipment into thinking you have one. Any help would be appreciated since I am looking at the 15/15 or the 30/15. |
