greggblue : I've been a member of Speakeasy for almost 5 years now, and they have been awesome to me everytime I had an issue... All of the people in tech support are excellent and understand their product thoroughly... However, I am "throttled" to 1.5/768 due to my distance to the CO (~15,000 feet). They have tried everything, from re-provisioning the line to several new modems, but nothing will make the line go faster.

So, my alternative is now going in tomorrow... FIOS. 15/15, with a static IP. I had to fight with my neighbors to get Verizon to cut a line through their yards, but finally the line is in. Yes, it's more expensive, but I need my speed! Here's hoping the speed will be all it's cracked up to be.

Gregg
