| Canon XSi & amateur dSLR users (post some pics)
I will be going on a 6,500 mile road trip this summer and would like to get a dSLR camera. I would consider my self a beginner, but others with SLR's have considered me an amateur. The pictures I have take from a Canon A610 and Canon SD750 are really good, but I really want a dSLR for the roadtrip as we will be going to the SW and I just love the SW. I plan on getting the body only and then getting a bit better lens (don't recall the name, but IIRC, it was $200) What do you guys think? Worth it or no?
Also, post up some pics for you beginner and amateur dSLR users. I'm interested to see what people can do. |

I don't really feel like taking the time to upload photos for this thread. Then why the heck did you take the time to post this response?!?!?!? |

| Im a bit behind in the DSLR world now. I still shoot with a 300D, and still love it. My thoughts on the whole thing, anyone entering into the world of a DSLR will love it compared to their point and shoot. I will say that other than possibly getting the 5D, im looking at the possiblity of switching to Pentax when I buy my next camera. |

I don't have the Canon XSi, but my gallery is full of XT, XTi and 5D photos if you want to look at them. |
