anon : A small amount of the new D-Link DIR-855 dual-band routers, which were part of an initial product distribution, have antenna leads that were mis-configured at the factory and may perform normally but not up D-Link’s highest level of performance standards. The serial numbers of these units range from F30A17C000019 to F30A17C000118. If you happened to purchase one of these units, and are experiencing a weak or less-than-optimal wireless signal, you should call our corporate office (800-326-1688) where our dedicated team of support personnel will help you execute the warranty for the product.

Hope it helps .. lucky me being in the range....
