All night long it's been taking forever to load a single webpage, if it even loads at all. Anyone else or is it just me? |

I'm getting some pretty huge ping numbers from the west coast. Does it look like one of the level3/roadrunner/whatever routers/servers is kinda acting finicky? Maybe it's something wrong with twc at the moment--it's rather intermittent though. Things are working for me for a couple of minutes then going down for a minute or two. |

| Same problem in Queens. I have had problems since yesterday.
I called in yesterday and they said there is a known problem. I called in today and the recorded message now says there is a problem with Earthlink customers in Manhattan and Queens and I think they also said Brooklyn. |

| reply to bledwhite1028 Yeah, I'm having problems with slow/no page loads and can't get VOIP to work at all from Austin, TX.
Just got off the phone with TW Cable support and they said it's a connectivity issue between them and Earthlink and Earthlink is working the issue.
Earthlink hold times > 30 minutes on support. They refer you to the web site (ha ha ha, that's a good one).

| The problem is solely isolated to Earthlink.
Earthlink is under restructuring now. The Earthlink support page won't even connect and the cache file of the status page is from February 3rd.
If it wasn't for the fact I was on Earthlink Promo pricing I would move right now to Roadrunner and wouldn't have this problem.
Earthlink is really bad right now and is losing a ton of money and employees. This outage didn't help any cause those on non promos can just switch to Roadrunner and be up fine right now.
Time Warner is just placing the blame on Earthlink possibly.
I wouldn't be surprised if the issue was not even resolved soon.
Earthlink really needs to sell out. |

| TWC is denying responsibility for the issue. Earthlink Cable issued it to their level 3 department.
Earthlink tried to tell me my account was cancelled when it wasn't. Got through to a supervisor immediately who admitted it wasn't cancelled and said he was to escalate the request to level 3.
Earthlink is really going downhilll. I think the way to resolve this is to switch to Roadrunner or NYC Connect unfortunately. |

When I signed up the TWC rep said the EC was the same as TWC just with a different set of front end options (emails etc) but that is obviously not the case and I'm really fed up with this connection. |

This is like an endless feedback loop. Round and round it goes.
Can't wait till Time Warner splits off Time Warner Cable in April. Then the asset will truly shine. |

| reply to In 10024 Switches are immediate. Rep enters it into their system and it changes the gateway and dns server addresses. Routing is the same. The problem here is not one of routing but rather the Mindspring/Earthlink Gateway and dns servers which appear to be the issue. Since they will swap the gateway address and dns servers it seems like the Roadrunner side will work fine while the rest doesn't.
I don't know why the gateway is causing issues or the DNS servers however. DNS servers can be manually changed. But the gateway ip can't be. |
