So, paying full price for a phone does not appear to guarantee new account activation without contract. umm that maybe the price to play at Sprint but I can guarantee you at ATT if you bring your own phone you have 0 month contract. If this was a Sprint topic you might of had a point. |

| Just wondering how correct that is? I visited the ATT site and checked their plans without selecting any sort of mobile device and it appears to indicate the contract and activation fee for ANY NEW line activation.
One-time activation fee $36.00 Contract length 2 years |

| I've spoken to 3 customer service reps and one supervisor in the past 2 days and all of them told me that even if I bring my own phone, I'd be required to accept a 2 year contract. I was pretty persistent too.
I'm not saying any of them were right, but at least they were consistent. |

They have a system called CSP which is basically a large stockpile of all of their policies. Within it, if they followed it, it would state that if you bring your own phone to a corporate store a representative would be able to start you on a zero month contract. trust me I work for ATT and I have started services for many many people due to the new terms. You will have an activation fee of course but you will have no contract. »www.engadgetmobile.com/2008/01/2···ar-plan/ |
