| Very inconsistent.
I took a sample of 4 people myself a month ago and 2 of them gave the same answer that it is 175, one gave the answer that he didn't hear about prorating the ETF. Finally, I gave up and contacted the customercare via email. This is the answer I got.

Thank you for taking the time to e-mail AT&T regarding the cost to
cancel your service and the the information you saw on the news
regarding prorated cancellation fees . I am happy to help you with your
inquiry and sorry to hear you may be considering cancelling your
service.
Our records show your contract ends on xx/xx/08 and if your service is
cancelled prior to that date, your account will be billed a cancellation
fee of $175.00.
Prorated cancellation fees are not being considered until sometime in
2008. |
