[ADSL] 8 meg broadband now wont a give me even 1 meg

Hi can someone help my download speed have gone down dramatically last month I was averaging 2 or 3 meg when i ran speedtest. Now I am getting 500kbs on a 8 meg connection.

The last speedtest I ran my upload speed ended up higher than my download speed. I dont have no viruses or spyware so why the dramatic decrease. can someone help?

UK		 re-boot everything, remove all phones, check your filters 1 by 1 (they do fail from time to time)

If problem persists, report to your ISP

You are somewhat spare with info re your setup.
I would suggest you try a Live Cd of Linux and see what speed that will give you. Linux is about 15 to 20 % faster than Windows re Internet.
I have an 8meg line and average about 5 meg with Windows and 6 1/2 to 7 meg with Linux or Zeta.

what a load of complete twoddle!!!!

I have heard some crap in my time but this beats it hands down.

Ignore this advice it is obviously given by someone who knows nothing about IT.
