The Ars Technica story doesn't mention it, but a different version of the bill was passed in the Senate without the anti-piracy provisions: »www.news.com/8301-10784_3-986714···nefd.top
Also, the White House has opposed the bill and is threatening to veto it: »media-newswire.com/release_1060551.html
But not over the anti-piracy provisions.
The bill has to be reconciled with the Senate version in a conference committee. So, with the White House opposition and the Senate's different version, the anti-piracy provision is far from being approved.

Guess who ends up taking care of their elders when they get sick and lose their jobs?
The quickest way to impoverish everyone but the wealthy is getting rid of those two programs.
Then they sell you on 401k's and IRA's. All those programs are little piggy banks for institutional investors to pass around to their buddies.
The government wants you to think there are too many people retiring. Baby boomers had a lot of kids and those kids on average had two kids. So either their kids are broke or someone is lying about why the programs are going bankrupt. |

| Part of the problem is that the rate of population growth has dropped. You used to have a lot (say 6) people working for every person on SS, now you only have a few people (say 2) working for every person on SS. You compound that with the Hollywood shuffle of money that was done( government "borrowed" money from the SS pot) and you can see how we got into trouble. |

End of elders. Hospitals OD them on pain relievers until they die like a heroin junkie, with family permission/ignorance of course. |
