Public 'Safety' ???????

The very 'concept' that the safety of our citizens should be for sale to the highest bidder is insane.

Insane maybe, but business as usual. Outsourced public safety services are very common. Even at the Federal level. Can you say "airport security"? "Halliburton"?

No, it doesn't. But nobody cares enough to do anything about it.

Congress cares and if no one is willing to acquire the Block D license and agree to build the public safety network in either Auction 73 or 76 then expect members of Congress to at least lay the groundwork for a solution before election day.

Congress says they care. As everyone knows, what they say and what they do is often diametrically opposed, especially when the saying and doing are separated by election day.

Maybe they can install cameras on every corener and have "viewing centers" in Pancott? I am sure it would be perfect. Afterall they seem to be trusted with our personal financial/ID data.
