Maybe i'm mistaken, but can't the car companies track you with their road side assistance programs? GM's onstar, etc for example.

Just another reason never to buy GM garbage.
And a reason I didn't have a lo-jack system installed in my truck. What do I care if the insurance company ever recovers my car?
