Sirius Stilettos no longer connecting via wi-fi

I have two Sirius Satellite Radio portable Stiletto 100 receivers that for some unknown reason can no longer connect to my WLAN via the Actiontec. Both Stilettos get a "failed to connect" error. They did fine when we first got FiOS installed back in November but now neither of them will connect. I doubt it's a router issue since no other wireless devices have any problems. Has anyone else had this issue?

If V* pushed a firmware upgrade onto your router recently, that could have done it.

I had the reverse experience last week. I had one PC that would not connect to the internet through the A/T wirelessly but two others would. V* pushed a firmware update (from ...55.0.10.4 to ...56.0.10.7) and the PC that would not connect to the internet then did. The other two still connected as well after the update. The problematic PC initially DID connect to the A/T through the WLAN but just couldn't get to the internet before the update.

What works with one wireless device may not with another.

We had a similar issue....What worked for me was , believe it or not, changing the channel of the wireless on the router. I had changed the channel months earlier to avoid any problems with our cordless phones, etc. All of a sudden, my wife's laptop could no longer hold a connection for more than a minute or so. I finally gave up and set the channel back to 6 (the default) and everything has been fine since. I am not saying that this is your problem, but it is easy to do and will eliminate one optiong.

I tried your solution, changed the Actiontec Wi-Fi to a different channel and was able to connect with both Stilettos.

I spoke too soon... The next time I tried to connect I once again started getting "failed to connect" errors. Sigh.... Every other wi-fi enabled device in the house connects no problem, except these darn Stilettos.

This might be a problem with the type of device, I saw this in a review on Amazon, see the one by C. Siano on 12/31/07:

I was thinking of getting the device, but not with these bugs.

My router died on me last night. After four hours of attempting to get someone from Verizon on the phone (why have me go thru the process only to tell me all the reps are busy and then disconnect me), I finally got thru and was told a tech would be to my house at 5:00 to replace it. The tech got here around 12:30 and fortunately I was just getting home as well. Nice guy and he had me back up and running in 10 minutes. I noticed after he left that my wireless was very slow compared to the previous router. I followed your suggestion to change the channel from auto to channel six and my wireless is now almost the same speed as my wired connection. Thanks for the suggestions.
I know this is old news, but Verizon has to do something about their phone system. In my experience, once you get thru to someone, they are generally very helpful and I have not had a bad experience with any of the techs that have come to my house over the past several years.

As a follow-up, I also rebooted my router, since then both my Sirius Stilettos have been able to connect.
