Re: Question on pricing

CT will not quote a price on their site if there is not phone service already at that address. Here the 256 is $19.95 and the 1.5 is $29.95.

Also you can find a 2WIRE 2700HG or 2700HG-B modem/wireless gateway off ebay for around 20 bucks that will work great with this service. It may be branded SBC or AT&T but will work very well.

Thanks for the reply.
I have an AT&T branded Netopia 2241N that I was going to give my buddy to use...would that work? I just upgraded to the 2Wire 2701HG-B with AT&T and have no use for the Netopia anymore.

Is there a 768k tier on CT?

I know AT&T has 768, 1.5, 3.0, and 6.0 (I currently have 3.0 for $25.95 per month after bundle discounts; regular is $37.95)

Is it possible to get dry-loop? I don't think they want to get a landline at all--they all have cell phones and really don't have a use for a landline.

If a landline is needed...how much would the basic line with no extras cost?

Thanks,
Carl

I don't believe CT offers a 768 package. I may be wrong but I have never seen it advertised.

I would imagine they can offer a dry loop. As for a landline, I'm guessing somewhere around 20 to 30 bucks a month.

I'm not for sure if the Netopia 2241N will work of not.

It will work, Ctel recently offered this same modem, but they have since gotten rid of them.

ANY Dsl modem will work regardless if you set the ATM Circuit Identifier:VPI to 8 and the VCI to 35
