Link Light On, no Internet

5-7 time a week I need to reboot the Cisco 675. I've talked to two service reps and they want to send someone out for $$.

What I don't understand is that the link light is on, but Internet is not available. Could my MAX G Linksys wireless router be the problem? My understanding is that if the link light is on, the Cisco is connected to the Internet.

BTW, my computers can see each other, so the home network is up, just no Internet.

I've had Zoomtown for several years.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Craig.

The Cisco 675 is old and no longer fast enough for the new Zoomtown speeds of 1mb to 5mb. You ned a new Westell modem.
Tell Cincy Bell you need a new modem at your local store and give them the old one back. I had Zoomtown a long time too,and just reused it this year. Alot has been upgraaded modem wise and speed wise. Good luck!

don't do what the other poster said
Make a direct one-to-one connection with one PC
Make sure you use a cross over cable for this
You should pull a 10.x.x.x IP from the Cisco and be off and surfing.
If so the problem is your router.
