We'll see if the PB principals are still laughing if they get sent to prison by the Swedish court hearing the case brought against them by the prosecutor.

Re: IFPI=Pwn3d. Can you say Streisand Effect?

They will be laughing, because TPB = Skynet. There is no system core.

Nice work IFPI, MPAA, RIAA. You created your own failure, and are working to expand it now.

Swedish Law does not prohibit trackers. Also, as time has shown again and again, A large percentage of Swedish society is involved in piracy. Why? Well they are one of the most wired countries in the world. I am not sure how they compare to Japan and Korea, but I'm positive Sweden is within this top three category. It's going to be really hard to prevent TPB from their activities. What's to say the TPB doesn't simply start proxying their site traffic? I mean they have the bandwidth and I'm sure more than a few willing participants. It's a losing battle, and I just don't see Swedish Courts looking to piss off a large portion of the country. Politicians make and enforce dumb laws, only when they know people aren't looking. In this case, the country has their eye on them, and everyone in office knows it.

Here's a great example. We all know fast food is bad for you. It leads to obesity and medical problems if eaten often. Yet, people are still free to consume it. Do you think politicians in this country would dare to make laws banning the sale of fast food? I read in Arkansas they are trying to do just that to obese people. How well do you think this will go over, and odds are it won't pass. Why? Well, there are certain things you can get away with, and others that people simply are too interested and vocal about saving. Hence, the piracy issue and this are perfect examples of how people mobilize when the issue has a large impact on their lives.
