Mounting board for 612 ONT?

I got a mounting "blackboard" from a V* FiOS installer a couple days ago when I told him I was going to prepare a location for the tech to install the equipment. He said I will be getting a 612(?) ONT when they do my installation and it will more than likely be all inside my basement with just the fiber coming through the wall. It seems that the 612 ONT can have the PSU and BBU integrated to the ONT itself.

The board measures 17" W x 26" H. Is that actually large enough to mount the 612, the PSU & the BBU, plus a duplex outlet for power?

Has anyone had the installation done completely inside the house/garage/basement that knows the footprint size? I just want to make sure before I mount the thing on the basement wall for him (I have to cut away some finished paneling to mount it). If the backer board needs to be larger, I'd like to know before I go to the trouble of doing something unnecessary or that will have to be undone when he shows.

Thanks...

I've got the 611 + BBU all installed inside. I believe it's the same size as the 612. Entire unit is approximately 12" x 20". Attached is a picture.

run that gray cat5e behind the board, it'll keep it out of the way and hide it too... just a recommendation =D

Someday I'll re-route it. Still trying to get my office put together. Currently the cable is running out of the storage closet from the ONT and halfway across the room to my router, temporary, of course...

Thanks, troll5501...

The mounting board in your photo looks like it might be 24" x 24"?

If the tech mounts the ONT about 1/2" from the left edge of my board, there should be plenty of room for a single duplex outlet at the upper right hand corner of it.

My mounting board is about 18" x 20". The ONT is just about flush with the top and bottom of it. Keep in mind that the cabling will enter from the bottom so you should allow room for that.

OK, thanks. There should be plenty of room on the 17" x 26" board - that helped a lot.

FYI, the black cable at the bottom of the picture is the VZ fiber cable. It drops from the top, and the installer routed it behind the board (in the space between the wall studs) and looped it back up from bottom and into the ONT.

Here's a 612 mounted inside with the integrated BBU/PSU; see ruler for sizes.

Thanks for the photos with the scales next to the ONT - very helpful.
