Since it looks like you already got it, why don't you forward it along?

Re: Public service announcement

LOL, yep, Rick See Profile and fiberguy See Profile can confirm, I'm a real fan of cable.

I guess when I get accused by both sides as being a shill for the other, I'm exactly in the right place.

Re: Public service announcement

Come on, you're ruining my fun!

Meanwhile when I slam Comcrap for endless price increases, predatory pricing and all the other crap, I get it from the cable shills. When I disagree with the piracy for all crowd, I'm shilling for Comcrap.

Gotta love it.

Lies after lies after lies after lies.

I'm just happy to see all of the nation's problems solved that the gov't can spend time on traffic shaping, baseball and the XM merger.

hmm..that's quite the accusation coming from a poster with 6 more months and 260 some odd more visits to the site than even I have.
In fact, so experienced as that makes you..I hereby award you with the golden trolling award.

Re: Public service announcement

Need someone to call you a WAHMBULANCE.

Face it, you said Comcast did not forge packets. Now, not only do they admit it but they admit to degrading one particular type of program.

With its hand caught in the cookie jar, they go crying to the FCC. "Please save us for those big bad P2P users."

Like moths to a flame.

Re: Public service announcement

You seem particularly accomplished at putting words in peoples mouths and twisting them to your own liking.

Apparently you've learned that over almost 8 years of trolling?

"Face it, you said Comcast did not forge packets. "

Really? Did I say that? Perhaps you could link to a post with me having said that.

Of course, you won't find a post with me saying that because I never said that at all.
I said that comcast has said they don't block access to any website or application. And, they don't. Certainly none that I've ever visited or used anyway.

And, I have said that Comcast has every right to monitor and protect their network for the benefit of the vast majority of their users who don't abuse it. And, with my enjoying my 20Mb + speeds apparently they're doing a great job doing exactly that.

I'm sorry that your budget doesn't apparently allow you to enjoy the same and you choose instead to pay for the vastly overpriced slower service known as DSL but why you choose to take that out on me is beyond me.

Comcast is the # 1 ISP in the nation as far as I'm concerned.

Let me say this slowly for you.

Comcast forging packets so that a particular application does not work is blocking access. At least one ISP was laying with packets belonging to a VOIP service. The FCC fined them and told them not to do it again. Comcast is doing the same thing only with P2P applications.

You would do a lot better if you just admit what Comcast is doing which is blocking P2P.

Duck and weave company boy.

"Comcast forging packets so that a particular application does not work is blocking access"

That's an interesting interpretation of the issue.
Perhaps you also think that a highway having a 65MPH speed limit and the police arresting those traveling over that amount is also blocking access to the highway for law abiding citizens?

Same thing..telco boy.

Re: Public service announcement

hmmm..interesting.

Seeing that Moonpuppy has claimed in his post above numerous times that comcast "is blocking access to p2p applications"...I thought that as a Comcast user myself I'd test that theory.

And so, I just downloaded something on p2p.

Wow!! guess what?

It works!!

And, guess what folks..it doesn't stop there..take a look at this speed test.
Jeesh..20Mb speeds..even at 40Mb + files as well.

Folks..you want to know whats REALLY going on here?
The telco fanclub, pension check recipients and some employees just can't MANAGE to get over the fact that we get all this on our cable service.
They can't STAND the fact that for the last decade..their beloved telco's have apparently ignored their networks and now they're resigned to speeds barely at 1/20th at times what we now see on our Cable connections.

And so..what do they have left?
Not much I guess.
Except to try to bash me and others just telling it like it is.

Well..that's ok. Really..it is.

Because we all know the real truth of the matter now..don't we?

And there it is folks..in living color.

Comcast...what a great isp it is!

And now, c'mon Moonpuppy. Let's see YOUR speed test.
Show us what you got there under that hood of yours!

Let's see how SLOW it is and how VERY expensive it is..dollar for dollar and speed versus speed.

Cable..the real value among Isp's.

Re: Public service announcement

Thought you were taking the day off. Apparently you lie about that, too.

Since you're here, let's take a look at that #1 claim of yours.

In number of subscribers? Nope.

AT&T: 17.9 million (18.2%)
Comcast: 12.9 million (13.1%)

Oops...not even close.

In customer satisfaction?

Ouch.

Look at all those categories where ATT and Verizon kicks Comcast's ass. And it't not a cable vs. DSL thing. Cablevision and other cable MSOs seem to be able to satisfy their customers a lot more than Comcast does.

Really, really sucks to be a Comcast customer compared to just about anyone else. So sayeth JD Power and Associates.

Is that why you are so desperate to make them look good?
