I'm getting the same slow speeds 1pm to 9am PST thing here for a couple weeks now, luckily i get home at 5pm but, it sucks for the other users connected though. Yesterday we got FAP'd before reaching the threshold (nearly 200MB from it). The Fap lasted less than 12 hrs, go figure? Me being on Business Internet at $180/month I cannot upgrade, how hard is it to change transponders? A song and dance? I'm usually quite polite on the the phone..

| I was told when I start to see sub 800 speeds for most of the day that they would look into it.
At least the business support is US based.
I really didn't see the performance difference versus the price difference and switched pack to proplus and got a free repoint to G3C, was on satmex6

I just got off the phone with advanced support (not in India) and he basically told me there was nothing they could (would?) do. I have already talked with engineering (tier 4) several weeks ago and nothing is wrong on my end. My speeds tonite have been as low as 42/95 kbps and as high as 83/137.
In other threads I have posted screen shots to prove the difference in speeds from just before midnight and afterwards.
After being a customer for ~5 yrs, I'm fed up and will be checking with Alltel in the next few days. It's not right to pay that much for dial-up speeds. And it doesn't matter if they're 8xx/1xx when I'm not at home or am asleep.

| Well, after complaining to HughesNet, my speeds have gone back up in the evenings. Amazing! Tech support and billing tried to tell me there would be a degradation of service during peak hours. I agreed that I understood that, but said that it should fluctuate and not have drastic speed differences that I have observed in the last few months.
I'm looking into getting an aircard from Alltel now, and hope to soon be finished with HughesNet.
