is it me or everybody? |

bcoolPremium join:2000-08-25 The Ozarks | reply to bcool Just found out thanks to Shipwreck here that THIS DAY IN HISTORY has been hijacked. As soon as I eliminated that applet, iGoogle loads again just fine.

Re: http://www.google.com/ig [RESOLVED] It's me too! Not only on my main comp also my laptop that I have not turned on in days. It has to do with iGoogle being your homepage I think. My IE was not hijacked but the home page is MSN or whatever the default is. |

 | Yep, It's the "THIS DAY IN HISTORY" Applet. Before you get redirected hit stop. Then remove the applet from your iGoogle page. It took me a couple of times to get the timing right. |
|
 | reply to bcool Thanks, It was a little tricky...I had to multi click the stop button a few times to get the sitesure hijack to stop but when I removed "This Day in History" gadget the hijack went away....I hope there are no hidden payloads. |

|
 | reply to bcool I had the same problem. When I first read cbx's suggestion, I interpreted it to mean the IE history function, not the applet. So I deleted that. It worked! I took out the applet too, just to be safe.
Thanks, cbx. |

But while on Firefox, simply removing the This Day in History applet was a sure fire workaround. -- "in flagrante delicto" |
