| Do you remember Hush Messenger? It is supposed to encrypt messages free. Also Trillian had the same type of encryption but is was higher than AIM's. |

A friend of mine used to call me using one of these IM proggies wayyyy back, before 6meg DL's... It was laggy, but it also was a free long distance phone call. |

It worked great over a 14.4 modem connection, no long distance bills. I use to talk to friends over it to save money when long distance rates were insane. Back when a lot of those mom and pop dial up ISP were around. |
