I am sure it works for some. For me, it has never worked. For some reason anytime I have ordered from Newegg with the rush option, it still takes two days for the stupid thing to leave the warehouse.
I will admit, it's been about a year since I ordered from them for this very reason. So things may have changed.

Rush isn't worth it. I've gone regular and had the item in 1-3 days.
BTW, Becareful ordering Harddrives from Newegg. I am now on 4th failed drive (different make and model) that failed within 30 days of purchase. The just wrap the drives in bubblewrap and throw in a box. Maybe paying more to ship drives air will get handled better...

The only reason for rush processing is for periods when Newegg has a much higher than usual volume of orders such as the holidays. Newegg would be stupid not to have to staff to handle day-to-day orders on their usual timely basis. |
