File sharing. Porn via P2P is a MFer! I want my titty pics as fast as I can get them!
Here is something that Sandvine is not affecting - DDL(DirectDownloads). *I* have moved on from BT to DDL sites. Occasionally, I will light up a P2P app and search for "items". This P2P app does *NOT* require uploading, but I do it anyways when I use it. It's only fair! Sandvine is killing BT seeding. Does not affect me really! I still gets mines! -- Think outside the Fox... Opera |

 | reply to dadkins Agreed! A premium newsgroup provider and IRC is all I need.. Throttling you say? Never bothered me!
In the end, what people need to understand is that its Comcasts network. They can do whatever they want and I assure you, Will KEEP doing whatever they feel is neccesary to keep as many subscribers as possible. Obviously the few who actually use BT are the minority in Comcasts eyes and feel they can throttle it without much backlash, of course they're gonna get some. If enough people complained about it, sandvine would have been put down long ago. I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon.
The interesting part of all this will be to see what they do once this BT encryption is in place. Will they throttle all encrypted traffic? I can see a whole lotta VPN work from home users getting up into a riot about that. Only time will tell.
As far as I'm concerned Comcast can do whatever they like. Don't like it, then drop them like a bad habit. No other BB choice? Adapt, are sit here and whine about it which does no good. Your choice.. |
