[ Cable] (Cable) Still having problem with router setup

Ok im trying to setup a wireless network at a friends home. They have AOL broadband. For them to get on the internet they have to connect with broadband connection threw aol 9.0

Now I tryed setting up the D-link rounter with PPPoE and it never works. Is it possible that MSL is not enabled on the account?

And one more question, when you connect with PPPoE the router should broadcast a WiFi siganl with out the laptops having to connect with AOL 9.0 software right? I mean technicly the laptops wouldn't need AOL on them right? Or am i mistaken?
