thanks Koma, but this has happened on my previous desktop as well, so I'd think it'd be rare that I got same attack on 2 different computers. this one is brand new Dell. I'm pretty advanced at troubleshooting and keeping system "clean". I suppose it's possible. will keep checking. |

| well disable netbios and remote mangement and any unneeded srvices in the mdc console and change the default ip scheme to somthing else is a work around i think. as it disables the default »home and »gateway.2wire.net urls for accessing the 2wire so you would only be able to acces it with your new ip sceme. |
