Just checking availability of a domain...

A week or two ago a friend of mine went to Network Solutions website and checked to see if a domain was registered. It was not registered. The next day he went to another registrar and tried to buy/register the domain. He was told that the domain wasn't available. He went back over to Network Solutions and tried to buy/register the domain - and yup he got it!

This really sucks! And he ended up getting 3 years with them, so I guess they achieved what they wanted to achieve.

I cannot believe this is allowed!
