said by TKJunkMail : They seem to be spending all their time and energy in court cases instead of improving their service and fending off competitors. What competitors? They can just sue them for infringement.
As to Motorola, what the hell has happened to them?
They had a really great processor division, and the PowerPC chip, besides being a nice alternative to Intel for a bit was in more embedded devices than I can count. They slowed development (how long did they promise Apple some G4s that would compete with Intel??), then sold the business off.
They had a great handset business and used to have some of the best handsets available. Now they are lagging and looking at ditching that market.
Cable modems... meh. Not exactly revolutionary technology, and the market is only so big.
Where is their focus now? Why are they consistently falling behind their foreign counterparts? |
