| Uverse in Alpharetta
Can anyone explain this issue: My neighbor lives two doors down across the street, and just had Uverse installed. For some reason my house is not available for uverse, why is this? Its the same neighborhood, and the lines come in from the street on my side of the street first, then branches out to his house. |

| Well first of all there is a Uverse forum here at BBR that may help you learn some more about it... »AT&T U-verse
second, unless you have a copy of the plats you don't really know how the cable is run. Trust me, it can be deceiving sometimes and not quite how you may think it is run.
That being said however, your house may not have been put into the database correctly.
Call and try to order and see if they can do a serviceability check on your address. |

We're still getting alfnoid and his team up to speed. |

| reply to bigmarriedsteve Thanks for the responses, I tried calling customer service, and they sent the issue to the 'back office'. They then told me that it is not available yet, but they could not tell me why.
I was looking for more of a technical answer as to why I could not receive it. I talked to the installer that went to my neighbor's house, and he stated that I should be able to receive it. |

| We're still ironing out some issues, learning as we go.
What we're trying to avoid at this point is overselling the product and under delivering. The physical plant is in place to deliver the service, but the manpower to perform the installs isn't. That's ramping up, but it's a poor business practice to offer the service, schedule an appointment for the installation, then not show up. That's what our competitors have done for years.
We'd like to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace by being reliable.
That means we're going to be rather conservative on the roll out.
So if the service isn't showing up as available but your neighbor has it already, there's a damn good chance it's because we're deathly afraid of incurring a missed appointment for an install. |
