patent for the use of Wi-Fi on a mobile device

How does Motorola have a "patent for the use of Wi-Fi on a mobile device" WTF? WiFi is a standard no matter what device it's being used on.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it has to do with methodology of *handing off* a call from cellular network to a WiFi network - not for using WiFi on a mobile device...
