Gas Range BTU questions

Gas line coming in from street...If I replace my current gas range which has (4) 9k BTU's burners with one that has higher BTU's would my gas usage be less due to the higher BTU's would boil etc faster over the 9K one or would it all even out over time?

Hope I am getting across asking what I mean to ask..If not, ask away.

The answer would depend on differences in efficiency of the 2 burners in getting heat into your pot of water. This process is not going to be 100% efficient. There would be other variables to consider in addition to the BTU rating of the burner. Given that a stove has a relatively small gas usage compared to other appliances like a furnace, water heater, clothes dryer, etc., I would imagine the impact on your total bill would be negligible.
