looks pretty good to start, but the smokeping really is more telling after it has run for several days to several weeks.
You're looking more for a consistant pattern then the absolute numbers.
No major spikes, no major dropouts.

Well would 24 hours be an acceptable amount of time?
Maybe even 12 hours?

I can't let it run for a week.

Why not? little if any overhead/effect on your system. it's also ok if you shutdown while you're not home, realising it will leave gaps in the graph.
24 hours would be the minimum, at least 48 gives a chance to see a time based pattern.
