| The short answer is no. The installation wizard will now just configure the modem with a dummy username and password so you can get online to the registration page. After you select your user info at the registration page, you have to accept the installtion of some software in order to complete the process. If you don't choose to install the software at that point, it will not complete the registration. Maybe you can uninstall it afterward or something.. |

Indy | Too the letter that describes the way new registrations are handled in the sbc regions of at&t. The first part of the registration validates the PPPoE login info.
In the sbc region the download/install of a application is to complete the setup of the new users portal page, it can be done without the software.
Do you know what domain new registrations are given?
