AlakarFacts do not cease to exist when ignored join:2001-03-23 Milwaukee, WI | Current Equipment I'm researching CenturyTel internet service for a tech challenged friend of mine. I'm trying to find out what equipment they currently offer for their DSL service, but nothing shows on their website unless you have an account to login with.
What I'm trying to find out, is what DSL modems and modem/router combinations do they currently use? It their equipment any good? | They use Westell 6100/6110 a lot but also in some markets 2Wire and maybe others. When i first signed up almost 3 years ago Netopia was popular.I have since bought my own 2Wire 2700HG with 4 ports & wireless and i really like it(even though it say at&t on it) |

Would their modem/router be the 327W? -- "Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom; it is the arguments of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves." William Pitt the Younger |

| reply to Alakar Yep, but that will cost more, if they give you the option. They generally just send out the modem. In fact, I would take the modem, and get yourself a Linksys.
I have the 327w. It's not bad. Not great, but not bad! -- The goal of the broadcast engineer is to get all the meters on the transmitter to go as far to the right as possible!! |
