Comcast calls NY Attrny Gnrl a publicity seeking hack .....

... in so many words.
»custom.marketwatch.com/custom/td···5906a40}
"I think the New York Attorney General has demonstrated an interesting proclivity for wanting to get involved in potentially high-profile matters all around the country, whether they have anything to do with New York state or not," said Cohen.
NY State has a tendency to create Attorney Generals with an overly developed self importance looking to make names for themselves. 1st Spitzer, and now Cuomo.

Go ahead, little boy. Reach into the tiger's cage and pet the nice kitty.

Doesn't matter. They tend to bring consumer issues to light and take action on them, which other state AJ's look the other way at. Let 'em grandstand if it helps to protect the general public's interest.

Yup! They tend to look the other way. You can thank the AG of MN for the major shake up with the cellular industry in stopping the contract extension for plan changes.. the impending change to the contract break out fees.. and so on.

Quite a few AGs don't turn the other way, actually.

That's true, but the NY AG, as you can see from the earlier posts, usually gets knocked for doing what AJ's should be doing just because his actions get played up more in the NY media, so more people become aware of it.

There have been a lot of instances where a number of the state AJ's have closely worked together to successfully achieve common goals. But putting the NY AJ in the mix usually guarantees publicity for whatever the cause is.
