A while back there was a thread about the tiny cubicles that some Japanese or Chinese people live in. I'm sorry but I don't recall if it was Japanese or Chinese. I do recall the pictures that showed the living conditions and it was basically a square room and the photo was taken from the doorway showing the very small room that these people were living in. I'm trying to find that thread or a link to the photos if anyone can help.
Not even close! The conditions were horrible and the space they lived in was very cramped. I'm talking like a 10 x 10 foot room with a refrigerator on one side and maybe a bunk bed on the other side.

I had been to Hong Kong once and I saw public housing where hundreds/thousands of families resided on a single high-rise building (like New York City). Each unit is 600 sq-ft (I was told); living room is also the bedroom (bunk bed) and kitchen is on one corner where people also use it for shower...
