Pics of tiny japanese or chinese apartments

A while back there was a thread about the tiny cubicles that some Japanese or Chinese people live in.
I'm sorry but I don't recall if it was Japanese or Chinese.
I do recall the pictures that showed the living conditions and it was basically a square room and the photo was taken from the doorway showing the very small room that these people were living in.
I'm trying to find that thread or a link to the photos if anyone can help.

There are the capsule hotels in large Japanese cities like Tokyo and Osaka:

I am in love with Japan and especially like ryokans:

Not even close! The conditions were horrible and the space they lived in was very cramped.
I'm talking like a 10 x 10 foot room with a refrigerator on one side and maybe a bunk bed on the other side.

Tiny Tokyo apartments are legend. I once saw one that it was tiny as! Kind of a narrow short tunnel with everything packed inside like a can.

Here is one example:

But not the best as it's quite big to what I have seen.

Anyway Japanese people are methodically clean. To the extreme and I like that a lot.

They look like some "elderly housing project" in Hong Kong...

I had been to Hong Kong once and I saw public housing where hundreds/thousands of families resided on a single high-rise building (like New York City). Each unit is 600 sq-ft (I was told); living room is also the bedroom (bunk bed) and kitchen is on one corner where people also use it for shower...

Have you seen what New York City real estate sharks agents call a "spacious studio apartment" these days?
