[TW] RR VS ERLK VS POWERBOOTS

I am sorry for asking this question, I was satisfied with DSL $29.99, it get 3360 / 864, am I used to get at least 3mb down and 760+ up whenever I do the speedtest, that's extremely realities and fast. Recently I have experiencing low speed, I am down to only 800kb + down speed, while my upload speed remain as 760+

I know the reason is because of my phone line, am I am not satisfied with this cuz it had happened twice.

I didn't want to switch, but I want to know, since I live in 11373 zip code, and the only cable provider is TW, I used to have Earthlink. I just wanna know the following:

1. RR VS ERLK
ERLK has 6 down / 512 up
RR I don't know

2. I read some threads, that there are basic and standard plan for ERLK and RR, is that true? If so, how much each plan for ERLK / RR.
I also want to know the speed for each plan for ERLK / RR.

3. Does TW has powerboots?

4. People say RR is better because it's directed by TW, so it's reliable and speed is faster than ERLK....

hehe...Powerboots, that's cute.

No, no Powerboost on TW and nothing like that, AFAIK.

Anyway... RR standard is gonna be the same as Earthlink standard. I don't know the speed in NY, but here in Central Florida, they're both at 7-512 officially (more like 8-512).

Earthlink or RR, it doesn't matter, they use the same lines (the TW lines). The only difference might be in what they offer, such as newsgroups, e-mails, web space...and of course, price (EL can be a little cheaper).

Turbo should get you faster downloads and faster uploads.

hehe, I was in the same situation as you. I had Sprint DSL, and I had intermittent problems. I was on the fence about switching to cable, because everytime I came close to doing it, my DSL connection would be back to normal. Until I had a 4 day outage and finally got cable

No regrets.
