Incorrect username and/or password??

I started getting a strange error message this morning. The service disconnects and then threatens me with the following:

Mobile Broadband : Connection Error

"! Your Mobile Broadband username and/or password may be incorrect. Please Try Again.

Note: Repeated entries of an invalid password during a 24-hour period will result in a 20-minute suspension.

A suspended username may not be used until the suspension expires, even when submitted with the correct password.

If the problem persists, you may need to contact Sprint.

Error Code 67"

This error message started after I put the modem in my work computer (Windows XP) and connected to the VPN. However, it repeated again, even without getting on the VPN.

Has anyone else seen anything like this?

TIA,

Reg

I tried connecting again. It again disconnected after a minute or so, but the message that came up was slightly different this time:

"Mobile Broadband : Connection Error

! Your Vision User Name and/or Password may be incorrect. Please click Update Data Profile.

If this problem persists, contact Sprint.

Error Code 67"

Clicking "Update Data Profile" now. (It's a button on the form that came up.)

Thoughts?

You can update your user profile by going to "MENU" Device and diagnostics and on the bottom left hand there is a abutton to update profile. It takes about 3 minutes or so and when completed sucessfully it will show the connection manager "disconnected".

Thanks, Jack!

My Connection Manager has been showing "Updating User Profile..." for about 35 minutes now (since my last post. It is also showing 6 bars of signal strength. (-81 dBm shows when I hover over the meter.)

I guess I'll need to make my first call to Millenicom soon...

Thoughts?

These modems do strange things. After changing my HA yesterday my computer would not shut down. Got error message to reload the drivers for the modem. Had to do a repair in Control panel "add/remove programs" unplug the modem and update profile.

Try unplugging the modem and let your computer find it again. Somethings wrong if its been trying to update this long.

Thanks, Jack!

I closed connection manager and removed the modem and reinstalled. Seems to be working now. I guess it was just a hiccup.

Thanks again!

My S720 does this sometimes when I fiddle with the new SCM.

Typically I either have to update the profile, or reset the Sprint e-mail address they assign you. Sometimes both, but it's better than reinstalling the whole thing.
