Check this out dude. I get this consistantly. And often here on dslreports. This is from Bloomington, IL, Comcast.

Go here and do the 100MB test »www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php
It will be closer to your real world speed. Your 32,636 test is completely bogus.

I've never gotten accurate results from that site either, and I have found that it is very dependent on one's distance from that server.

Real world large size file downloads and uploads from and to close by and known to be fast servers will always be the gold standard.

I agree, that site gives me results lower than my advertised speed on average.

Same here. It always shows me between 5 and 6Mbps down and I have Blast 16/2 confirmed many times over by using the above method.

I was switch from Insight... I'm in the Bloomington, IN Region, and I have a question:
Are former Insight Customers supposed to get the 2mb upload speed increase, or are we stuck at our normal 1mb upload?

I am getting a consistent 10mb download speed as promised, but I also haven't been able to get over 1mb for my upload speed. I have power cycled my router and modem a few times, and it hasn't changed anything.

Thanks!

What? You're actually getting 1MB upload?

LUCKY YOU.

My modem has been configured for 768K ever since the switch.

I've called tech support 6 times.

I've been promised call backs when it is fixed.

I've exchanged emails with support dozens of times.

I've been to my local office.

I've even bought a new modem.

The result of each attempt is a claim that the problem is or will be fixed.

It hasn't happened.

Count yourself lucky.

Their ineptitude has become LEGENDARY.

Great upload I might say.

I have been getting the same speeds as parido on a consistent basis. Powerboost is apparently all over Central IL.

I have been switched from Insight to Comcast in Bloomington, IN, and it has not been pretty. It was VERY slow at first, and has been slowly but surely improving.
I'll have to say things look pretty good this morning.

any idea how to get into the arris modem to see said log files? It's the one without the telephony.. and says to "enter the password of the day" to log into the advanced section.

My speeds are not much better today, I wonder what happened. My speeds have been great till the last few days. Then around 1pm to 9pm my speeds have been terrible. I know this is peak time but I always received my rated speeds until the last few days. Also I have noticed web pages are loading slower during these times. Anyone else having this trouble in the Anderson and Noblesville area?

Kids are out of school now.

Could there be additional bandwidth hogs on your node ?

I am just wondering if any Comcast techs know if there have been any problems getting the Blast config file to go in the Moto 5120? I ordered Blast couple of days ago and the lady on live chat said it would take 24 hours for it to go through. I'm still getting the Boot file: d11_m_sb5120_insightstandard_c01.cm.
