Cell towers are usually owned by one of the major carriers or a tower leasing company, but there is no requirement to "share".

That's right and METRO PCS means just that METRO. Look at Detroit. Calling area is a joke. Go outside the "metro" area too far and your SOL. That's why MPCS can charge half the price for less then 1/10th the footprint. If they were "serious" about providing service, they would rent the tower space.. Oh wait.. then they would have to charge more.. Nope.. not going to happen.. yet.

As a user of Sprint and the data portion for a couple years now, unlimited means just that. Without going into specifics, I blow the 5GB cap away in 2 weeks.
