| [F@H] AMD 3870 Support When?
Well I built my new system around 2 3870 512MB graphics cards in crossfire and really wanted to send them on their merry way crunching but I was sad to find they are not supported yet! Anyone have any idea when support for these cards is expected?
I guess I will just have to crunch at a slower pace on my 4GHz Core2 until the GPU's are finally supported... |

| I don't have a clue, no. I'm hoping we'll see a stable Windows SMP client, too, and possibly first.
Something tells me your 4GHz Core2 won't be a slug, however. -- Join Team Helix * I am praying for these friends . |

1 edit | reply to Loker Well, just an update...I am all up and running now on both GPU's and FAHmon is clocking me at 2100+ PPD....The CPU seems to be the bottle neck still even at 4.26GHz (I don't think I am gonna push it farther...). Still 2100+ PPD is nothing to sneeze at!
You know what I just realized....with both of these GPU's cranking at 99% I am up to 1 teraflop protein folding goodness...(each GPU is supposed to be rated at 497+ gigaflops!) -- "While preceding your entrance with a grenade is a good tactic in Quake, it can lead to problems if attempted at work." -- C Hacking |

It does not look like I yet have it working on both GPU's...I will update once I get there... -- "While preceding your entrance with a grenade is a good tactic in Quake, it can lead to problems if attempted at work." -- C Hacking |

1 edit | It looks to be an issue with Vista....either way someone I was working with on it found a temporary work around and now look at how many PPD we are cranking
I think the spam can stop now that everything is operational -- "While preceding your entrance with a grenade is a good tactic in Quake, it can lead to problems if attempted at work." -- C Hacking |

| well scratch that yet again....once it finished a WU it reverted back to both running on one GPU...looks like we will have to wait for this bug to be fixed! -- "While preceding your entrance with a grenade is a good tactic inQuake, it can lead to problems if attempted at work." -- C Hacking |
