| reply to BruceN said by BruceN :A credit card must be used to sign up. ONLY ONE SIGN UP TO THE PROGRAM PER CREDIT CARD (This should help us keep the HOGS out that would flood us looking for free service) Smart!
There is no monthly charge for the account, and no other garbage charges. There is only one charge for the bridge call, the outbound cost. Call cost will be based on the rate table found on www.myglobaltalk.com. Rates may change as this is a test site, and anything can change
This service is designed for use with phones and cell phones. The service at this time may work via other means but in the near future, other SIP type devices may not work.
I understand that anything can change, and proably will initially. However is there a rate _table_ somewhere on the site? All I find is the block to seek a specific number. Travelers without a smart phone, or those without internet access will not be able to check a number before calling. It would certainly help if they have access to print/copy a reference 'guide' list that can be obtained periodically.
FWIW, I think it's good enough to meet even the M-I-L requirements!
You agree that we may email you from time to time to ask you questions about service quality, site design, usability and other possible issues. Any suggestions that you may offer to us, via any form, will become the property of i2telecom. Really good input could result in additional free credit being granted to some users. This will be done at the discretion of the marketing department, based upon my mood. Smart again. Just think of all the liability from all those previous suggestions. That's OK, I'm confident enough in what you're doing I'd take stock too 8-) ! |

| reply to gbh2o Hey if I am going to steal ideas for a $10 credit I better make it clear that I am stealing ideas!
I have already started collecting things between this board, IM, and email. I have a headache!
As to the anti HOG provision, I learned in the last go around that they can screw up a good thing for all of the non hogs!
I'd probably look the other way if a guy wanted two accounts, but we had the record deal breaking HOG last time that took 243 accounts!!!! ALL IN ONE DAY!!! |

| MGT has an application (BETA) for Windows SMART cell phones, and at some point will NOT be able to use ATA, Softphones and what have you. It is meant for CELL phones. It has no inbound call cost. LD Intl rates vary between the two sites.

| Well it would be a Mobile phone.
Lets say you call Mexico a lot. It would be a small fortune using the cell company to place the out of country call.
Also it allows some to shift off of using their peak minutes if they have a plan like Sprint 2 Home or Myfaves.
It offers a unique DID so you could make the MGT one of your 5 Faves, so that your 5 now become 300 million Not sure Tmobile wants you to do that but that is what some do. |

| reply to BruceN said by BruceN :A credit card must be used to sign up. ONLY ONE SIGN UP TO THE PROGRAM PER CREDIT CARD (This should help us keep the HOGS out that would flood us looking for free service) This cuts both ways. A while back I signed up for a GizmoProject $35/yr DID account -- using my office address and a business AmEx credit card.
Within a few days I decided to register for additional GP accounts, one for each of my partners in the office. I used my name and the same office address. My first attempt, using the same AmEx credit card, failed. My next two attempts using my name and the same office address but with a series of different credit cards (Visa & MC), all in my name, also failed. My next attempt using one of my partner's names and his credit card failed. All this occurred while I was on line from my office computer.
The next day, I went thru the new account process using my wife's name and our home address and her credit card -- and it went thru successfully. I followed this with an attempt to get a third GP account, from my home computer, with my other partner's name and her credit card (which I had not yet used with GP). This failed.
Apparently, GP was matching IP addresses and customer names/addresses and credit card numbers to weed out us "crooks".
I searched thru the GP Forum (their own, not BBR) and found scores of frustrated and angry posts from people with the same complaint. Of course, GP's posted response was that they had experienced lots of fraud and were limiting their losses. I'm not sure if this practice lost more potential customers than it was worth to protect against fraud -- but since GP is still preventing multiple signups, it must be worth it to them. |

| I am part of the fraud watch team. They change their methods all the time.
I cannot discuss what we look at, but will tell you that about 25% of our DAILY sign ups are fraud!!!
I often think that the crooks use the instant approval process to verify that the HOT card is still cool.
It is a HUGE problem!!! |

| Yeah.... I just wish that the banks were actualy interested in fraud prevention. Thy do a nice PR job on TV but could care less. The merchant eats the cost, so they just don't care.
I think the online industry needs to share information, and the banks should have a way for us to report suspected fraud accounts. They could at least flag them.... |

| reply to BruceN is this offer still active or was it only 2/29?
since i dont have a cell phone that can take advantage of this, i guess i'll just be using it for the bridge. should i still sign up or am i not the beta user you want?
one thing, bruce - dont virtual credit cards make it pretty simple to circumvent the one sign up per credit card and wouldnt you assume that using virtual credit cards is pretty common. |

| reply to kafka1 Kafka1 Yeah you can circumvent anything. I don't get excited if someone want 2 or 3 accounts. Often it is legit. It is the the guy that did 243 accounts ONE DAY. Pretty easy to spot!
House painting today. If anyone needs a great painter in Atlanta, boy did I find the guy!!!
I will be GLAD to be back in the office tomorrow. |

 BruceN Hi
join:2006-11-17 Roswell, GA | Well it will get down to cell phones and landlines.
I would think we could move the account around.
I do not see a technical reason why not, other then I would need to go twist a programmers arm. But then I am good at that. |
