I've got a question- how will we know if/when you guys release updated WinMo software. No offense , but "customer notification" has never been one of i2's strong suits!

Do we just find out here? As I said earier, the current version (assuming you haven't released a new on in the last week) just plain doesn't work, at lea st on my WinMo 6 Pocket PC phone (intercepts too slowly to prevent the international call from being placed
by the mobile phone company first, then it hangs up the active call and redials through the bridge.)

I'm itching to try the next version!

BTW, I hope you don't mind, but I hit the cellphone and Windows Mobile Usenet groups with your beta offer since you were looking for a few hundred more testers.

Hi BruceN,

I tried it from my office phone as cell phone version was not working. It works with following issues:
I made international call (to India Mobile)

1. Calls never complete in first attempt. After first dialling my international number I always get the prompt "press 1 to make call * to hangup"
2. Lots of 1 minute false charges in the account. (For one successful call 3 false 1 minute charges).
3. Voice Quality is very poor and there was echo on line. I have to repeat many times to make other person understand.

THANKS! I can use all the testers I can get.

In the past, changes have been made with the assurance from the programmers that everything is good to go! Well I prefer the beta test idea.

I am hearing mixed results on the 6.0 phone. The programming guys say they are not seeing what you are seeing but others (not all) are seeing the problem.

I will post on this forum any software changes as soon as they are loaded.

Small revision in the sign up screen

Enter the beta code in the box that says CODE

And again the code is MGTBETA1

Some people that it was some sort of scam as the box said AGENT.... Go figure!

I'm in Germany right now and have set my number to my German mobile number (I can make cheap calls to the US from my cell). However, MGT doesn't recognize that I'm calling and doesn't present me with the dial tone prompt. I know my CID is being passed through on calls to the US (tested it with family and with a Vonage account).

I'll be in the US next week and will change the cell number to my US phone number and test it from that.

I see some issues with billing. It looks like that server is starting billing as soon as it dials the number. I called Singapore yesterday and nobody picked up the phone. I let go the ringing for long ~ 3 minutes and I see that my account has been charged for 4 minutes although call never completed.

Here are my observations so far. I have used the bridge to call UK and Nigeria. While I have had no problems connecting, and the call quality has been quite clear, I did notice that I am being charged for calls that did not complete. I have a number of 1 minute charges for calls that just just rang. So, this is one thing that will need to be worked on. I also tried the Global Call Forwarding a number of times, and was also charged for calls that were not picked up.

The application does not work on my windows Mobile version 5.0 (WM5) TREO 750. I get an error message saying " The application requires a newere version of microsoft.NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device" No big deal, I just won't use the application for now.
