Is This A Problem?

I'm using win xp (fully updated) on a laptop. I just noted an entry under My Network Places/Entire Network called IntelNetProvCredMan. I only got 2 hits from Google - one indicating possible malware with files (.sys) or dll's with this name. I found no files or dll's with the name but did find several registry entries.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it a legit networking entry?

Thanks,
Harvey

Legit, part of Intel PRO/Set wireless adapter software.

netprovcredman.dll is the file involved. The notion is to supplement XP's pstore, as the Protected Storage System was never designed to function as a "keychain" for wireless authentications.
