Its interesting to see the line monitor results since last night. A large number of subscribers seem to be "in the dark".

That I don't know as I have never used it. Try it the next time your IP address changes.

You might want to try asking that here: »Site Help

I mean this one: »Line Monitoring FAQ »Basic web URL update command

I just tried it and it seems to work.

Direct url? I'm not familiar with that one.

I've been manually updating my IP address for years now - luckily my IP rarely updates.

Thanks for the answer. So we need to manually update IP for now. Does the direct URL method still work?

Since the crash the dyndns don't seem to be working. It's being worked on but no ETA at this time.

What you can do is 1) enter your public IP in the static IP box AND 2) check the "dynamic" box. You must do both. Then when your IP changes, all you will need to do is update your graph with the new IP. After updating your IP address, make sure you click on the "Update Monitor" at the bottom to save the info.

Hope this helps you and others who are having this problem.

How do I setup my monitor so it will follow the IP changes? I have a dyndns account and I put the host name in my setup. But it doesn't seem to do anything. I still have to enter my current IP for it to work. Every time my IP changes, it still ping the old IP instead of updating to the new one.

I tried other dynamic ip domain services (no-ip, etc) and none of them makes any difference.

Thanks.
