Hi All,
Just a followup. The Line Monitor updater seems to be working again and it is faster than ever.

It picked up my IP address about 3AM ( someone was up late!). To verify it was not a one off update I just tested it with a new IP address on my DSL. In less than 2 minutes it had captured the new address in the tool. After about 30-40 minutes I could see the green data bars.

Thanks to all who helped kill this bug.

Apparently the updater wasn't running, but is now (as of about 6 hours ago).

Could the tool be broken again?

I manually entered my IP and dyndns host name, saw it was recording, and forced an IP change. 4 hours later it has not updated. Tag is: basic #252162

Yes. You should put your current IP in the static box, check the dynamic box, and put your dyndns hostname in the 'IP from this DNS' box.

I don't use Dyndns or DeeEnEs so I'm not sure.

I have pointed someone who might be able to help to you.

I know that I shut down my monitor just before the move and after the move I had a heck of a time getting a new monitor to start populating but it finally did so earlier this week.

Thanks,

So you need to "seed" the tool with your public IP address first? and then it should track any changes?

I put my dyndns address in earlier today and left the static IP box empty. After 4 hours it had not updated.

This is the problem I saw earlier: when my public IP changed, the site tool did not pick up the new one.

I just manually seeded the IP address box, will wait for the monitor to start tracing and will force an IP address change to see what happens.

It is tracking now, waiting for an address change......

BTW...The Dyndns seems to be working because if I ping it, my real public IP is resolved.

Just edit your line monitor settings and update your public IP address. Make sure you also have the "Dynamic IP" box checked. Then click on update monitor at the bottom of the page to save.

There was some glitches during the move.

Is there still actvity underway to get the monitors working again for dynamic IP addresses?
My DSL changed IP address and the monitor still has not picked up the new IP address after about 6 days. Status is showing "no data available to draw graph"

I don't use Kaspersky so I don't know how you would make it pingable. Sorry.

Would you still like me to send you an invite so that you can see if the line monitor would still work for you?
