Re: [Help] Tele2.fr down for over 24 days and counting ...

You are not alone.
In my case I still have the ADSL facility (took until January to set up, 3 months from order/change over) but my phone took months to settle in. It required 2 visits from Fr Telecom for the ligne, plus advice to 'do-it-yourself' dismantle the telephone plug back in the house when calling Tele2 from a friends - they insisted I write down full instructions on how and what to dismantle while on the phone to them! - They even refused to send someone to mend the ligne unless I had done this act of vandalism first and cut out a coloured cable from the indoor telephone point on the skirting board. Needless to say, I didn't, and when the (FT) men eventually came they said it had not been very good advice and would have seriously hampered them in their job!
So the F. Telecom men came and fixed it - in January - it was working for a month, and now the phone line is down again. Means I can't receive calls, listen to 888 mailbox, etc. No facility to remote access messages so people think I'm being a rude beggar. ,
I had a little card thingy to ring them with if any problems - but since I joined in October that's long gone. Now it's trawl thru the internet find a number ring it from a friends, try and find the contract. To add insult to injury I've just received their bill for 88 euros!
Good luck getting it sorted - I'm told it works well (when working) and is cheaper (I'm beginning to discover why!)
Mine's been down at least 10 days, (gave up counting) and I live in Brittany. At least I can email.

It sounds like you are having more of a hardware problem , whereas we are suffering with a screwup in tele2.fr's network somewhere.

After chatting with another tele2 user I have managed to get a workaround to the problem and have updated my blog entry with the technical details :-

Good Luck , hope you get it all sorted out soon.
