Try deleting the .blob files in your Steam directory. There are 2 of them.

| Yeah for some reason my HL2 and CS:S could not work since it said that my trial was expired...! WTF..!
so got in touch with support and after 3 days of emails they told me to delete the .blod files and try it again.
It worked, but it happened another 4 times. It hasnt done it since then... |
