I got Crysis installed on my new system. Would crash within a minute into the game. Whole PC shut off. I ran ragged trying to diagnose the thing until I found out my CPU was overheating... Not from overclocking, but simply from an improperly secured heatsink/fan. My temperature is half of what it was before now and I played a good 4 hours into the game.
I think it's an absolutely amazing game. When I tried the demo out, I just figured on shooting everyone. This game encourages a lot of recon on your targets, finding the best angle into a town or doing your best to avoid confrontation all together.
What's everyone else's thoughts on this game?
Also, I'm curious if there's a way to create a multiplayer co-op map if a few of my friends get in on this game. I saw a place for multiplayer (up to 32 players), but what about a co-op map? Are they all team vs team, or are there any team vs. NPC maps? -- I melt faces. |

| reply to Archivis I thought Crysis was a good ride. I was a fan of the nanosuit functionality. One thing that pissed me off though was every time the game booted up and the disk spun, I'd get this clicking noise in the drive bay. Man that was annoying. Also, I never got MP to work, although I never really looked into it to find out why yet. |

| reply to Archivis Overall I think it was a fun game (the most important factor). But it was really annoying to watch the enemy wake up after firing several shots point blank into their chest.
Heck, now that I think about it, I think it was easier to kill the enemies that were wearing their nano-suit than it was killing the enemies that wore plain uniforms.
Still a fun, good looking game. -- We will always be much more human than we wish to be. |

Either that or find a jeep or boat with a machine gun and hose everything in site. Cut down the bad guys, then a few trees for good measure.
Hated the flying level, but otherwise it was great fun with some beautifully rendered cut scenes. -- Team Helix | SETI |

| reply to Archivis I like it, the first part at least, the Alien part was just stupid, but I like going sneaking around killing North Koreans. Try using the game editor, Sandbox 2, to add things into the early game, like the Sniper Scope or even a "brick" of C4, place it in the path of a known NVA Jeep and watch em fly.
