But unfortunately, getting off the Advo/PennySaver mailing lists doesn't mean you'll actually stop receiving them. IME the postman does not actually pay attention to the address card, just stuffs one in every mailbox in my apartment complex - so I frequently get my neighbor's copies, or one with no address card at all. Annoying, and no amount of complaints to the local post office about misdelivered and unaddressed mail has fixed it.

Another tool when someone simply won't honor your requests to get off their lists, is USPS Form 1500. Just a few months later, it's jam packed every few days with so many catalogs that I have trouble getting my mail out.

I've always disliked catalogs in my mail, and I've had pretty good luck in the past getting rid of them by communicating with the folks who send them. Today I took a little time and put together my nine step program for cutting back on the annoyances. A half an hour filling out web pages and calling a few phone numbers can make a huge difference! Give it a try!
